Can't Install KB4012212 - searching for updates {was: - Microsoft Community

using windows 7 pro , trying install security patch kb4012212 not installing. seeing on screen is searching updates on computer , not changing. if stuck searching updates.  kindly help?

making sure computer updated can keep information safe. can manually download windows 7 update following these steps:

step 1: enabled hidden administrator

1. open command prompt.
2. type net user administrator /active:yes hit enter.
3. you should see message command completed successfully.
4. log out log in using hidden admin.

step 2: manually download updates

1. go site.
2. under affected software , vulnerability severity ratings, can find updates windows 7.
   
3. click on applicable 4012212 update (windows 7 32-bit systems or windows 7 x64-based systems).
4. download two updates windows 7.
5. after download, restart pc.

step 3: run scan , updates

1. run anti-virus scan.
2. install updates downloaded.

step 4: disable hidden administrator

1. make sure you're logged in regular admin account.
2. open command prompt (admin).
3. type net user administrator /active:no hit enter.
4. you should see message command completed successfully.
