windows 10 update failure after system recovery - Microsoft Community

my asus m51bc pc had problem , wound restoring original factory condition. can windows7 original os, graphics drivers aren't there. trying restorte them disc came computer seems cause problems. i'm trying update windows 10, before failed. recent attempt gave me error code 0x8007042c-0x90016. provide hint wrong. prior attempt asked driver, without specifying sort of driver. tried searching harddrive , downloading drivers asus. appreciated. i've had 2 sessions asus , had friend try me. original issue bootrec, i'm computer illiterate barely understand is. who

it appears you're having problems updating windows. know if have third party antivirus programs installed. error code you're getting when trying update windows has firewall. kindly check resolution posted karen hu on thread regarding error code 0x8007042c.

if encounter issues windows update, can use the dism or system update readiness tool try resolve problem.
