Raw Hard Drive... How to recover Data from it if it is possible. - Microsoft Community

hello

recently i've had pc that's been working fine until point updated windows 10.

if information helpful:

it came vista.  i updated windows 8 , windows 10

after few weeks computer wouldn't start up.  after taking apart pc , plugging hard drive laptop sata/ide usb cable showed drive raw hard drive.

from i've searched might have bootsect error.  how figure out if case?  from windows 7 cd not recognize drive @  would have run command , it'll work

the second thing heard using linuxbox.  how work.  can magically read files , have copy or there software must use?
