Monitor Stuck at 640x480!!! - Microsoft Community

have old system (dell dimension 2400).. came windows xp home edition, cd-rw drive only, 256mb ram , 40gb internal memory.  i'm not great computers, sourced , installed another 1gb ram.

standard vga graphics adapter.. chip type: intel(r)845g/845gl/845ge/845gv graphics chip

 

i installed windows 7 on it... got proper monitor driver, i'm stuck in screen resolution 640x480. annoying cannot see full windows. drivers "up date" , have tried windows update, disabling , reinstalling them. please helpp !
