FTP access irregularity - Microsoft Community

an ftp server mapped in file manager hierarchy under computer (this pc).

when accessing html files include images stored there results w7 differ w10.

the same machine, same server, same folder contains files.

in w7 clicking on these ftp files points temp folders.  a/v files open fine, html files can't find images since not in same folder.  example of path...
file:///c:/users/username/appdata/local/microsoft/windows/temporary%20internet%20files/content.ie5/ogv64vsz/test[1].html

in w10 files directly referenced, finds , displays html page images.  w10 uses correct path...
ftp://ftp.servername.com/username/test.html

w7 worked @ 1 time.  changed make seek temp directory? 

interestingly, if simple shortcut server created in 7, html pages bring images, should.

to isolate cause of issue, know following information:

• does issue occur when opening html file file manager?
• have tried using different web browser when opening file?
• are using anonymous access connect ftp server?
