XBox 360 controller disconnected, but is still visible under devices. - Microsoft Community

there seems issue disconnect wired xbox 360 controller , when go plug in again, player 2 portion of ring lights instead of first player bit. trying again, result similar, third player light illuminating.

i check devices menu, , there 2 instances of xbox controller there, after unplugging controller.

to clarify, have drivers set recognize ps3 controllers plugged usb ports xbox 360 controllers, might part of problem? i'm unsure.

anyway, in advance information and/or fixes towards issue.
