Activate Windows after booting on another computer - Microsoft Community

hello guys,

tl;dr

i booted windows hdd on pc , can't activate windows.

i had troubles 1 of computers. tried fix using dvd burned windows on it. during resetting windows remembered license have on other pc school , dvd license. canceled it. broken pc more broke me. tried troubleshoot , find 1 solution. copy recovery partition working pc. connected hard drive working pc broken, booted windows , copied files. (working pc laptop, there no option me connect hard drive broken pc working one)

but on working laptop see "activate windows" message/watermark. can not activated because product key not match hardware profile. (0xc004f034)

troubleshoot not help, neither option "i changed hardware on device recently"

i tried change product key new school license new product key, did not work either.

thank help.

windows installed on hdd activated using original device. moved device , need new licence key.

how hdd activated on original device, if digital licence after free upgrade or pre-installed manufacturer can't moved new device. activated on origianl device.
