we have encounter error massage when copy file thumb drive.   

msg " windows explorer has stopped working - windows checking solution problem.... folow by: windows explorer restarting"

nothing save.

if case, read this:

perhaps have afflicted explorer shell extension.

explorer extensions make list/menu of things see when right click something.  

an afflicted explorer shell extension can cause explorer crash - when using copy/paste and/or drag/drop , to/from external usb attached drive.

several recent incidents involving acer systems , mywinlocker egistec (which known include troublesome explorer shell extensions) may have come preinstalled on system.

even if system not acer may have mywinlocker installed , since there have been many reports of contributing explorer crashes seems place start looking.

if in installed programs , find mywinlocker or egistec , don't know or why there consider uninstalling it, rebooting , see how things work.  can reinstall again later if needed, right?

if have determined mywinlocker or other egistec programs involved follow general purpose instructions below able see explorer shell extensions , figure out 1 afflicted.

after using following program suggestion if see extensions egistec, psd security software, edatasecurity, dragdropprotect (they of pink extensions) start first.

if none of things present, continue:

when windows explorer (not internet explorer) misbehaving (especially when right clicking), start suspect third party explorer extension add-ons.  may see data execution prevention (dep) errors.  dep errors reported when windows feels threatened program , windows shut down threatening program.  windows should never feel threatened windows explorer (or internet explorer) unless add-on cause.

explorer extensions not belong microsoft.  means extensions added.  explorer extensions okay , installing applications install explorer extensions you, give choice , can added without knowledge when install new software.

explorer extensions added new right click option see on folders , files (like scan file, open file, play song).

if there particular thing when exploring know cause problem, 0 in on problem , know sure when have found , fixed it.

if can make happen anytime want, make adjustment , there no message next time whatever do, have found , fixed it.

first need way see explorer add-ons have installed , way disable them (not uninstall them) can figure out 1 causing problem.  may have lots of non microsoft extensions installed don't know about.

shellexview doesn't install on computer, runs , displays.

after launch shellexview (double click shexview.exe) , acknowledge security warning, adjust column widths can see clearly.  under options, choose "mark non-microsoft extensions" , non microsoft extensions in light pink, on systems hard color see, click view, choose columns , move or move down microsoft column closer top (move up) can see on screen without having scroll left , right.

next, click column header called microsoft (it may way out on right side of screen) sort display (by clicking microsoft column header) non microsoft extensions @ top , easy see.  "no" , marked in pink since not microsoft extensions, this:

the non microsoft extensions things have added (non microsoft) , need suspecting.

if see extensions not have listed under description, product name, version, company or have peculiar names looks might random numbers and  letters, might want @ first.

can google name of suspicious add-on , see if there hits regarding explorer crashes or dep errors , other people have done it.

might google like:

have fill in name of suspicious add on.

see kind of search results hits , solutions or situations sound yours.

not trial , error advocate, can't think of way this...

right click , disable non microsoft extensions 1 @ time (or perhaps in little groups of 3-5) keeping list can enable them again later if desired. result of change immediate , no reboot required.  test (right click) failure condition.  if explorer starts act normally, know extension disabled in group of 3-5 culprit can start enable them 1 @ time until explorer fails again.

1 user reported there need restart explorer after each adjustment press ctrl-e within shellexview.

if recognize extensions may have been added or downloaded recently, start first.

disabling extension not uninstall extension - disabled.  can enable again later, keep track of things writing them down.

disable them 1 @ time or in little groups (to make things go faster) until right click not generate error, reboot , test again sure.   last extension disabled suspicious one.

can disable non microsoft extensions, reboot, test failure condition , enable them 1 @ time until find 1 generates failure condition.

if have lot of extensions, disable them little groups, 3-5 @ time instead of 1 @ time until system starts behave.  

when behave, know problem 1 of extensions in little group , can enable in group 1 @ time until problem comes back, problem last extension enabled.

hope find 1 extension causes problem , can figure out - either uninstall or see if can update maker of extension web page.

don't have issue can when disable/enable extensions, extension disabled, disabling extension not seem require reboot if think found problem, reboot , retest anyway sure problem gone.

if post list of non microsoft extensions, maybe recognize potential problem.
