I have a 2TB Toshiba external drive. Since Microsoft downloaded the - Microsoft Community

so seems ever since latest win10 updated kb4020102, toshiba external hard drive won't backup.

the screen shows me option of "ready start backup", , click start, nothing happens.

can advise on has changed?

understand want ensure have recent backup of system, though not able after applying recent update windows 10. have here troubleshooting questions may further on this:

• have checked if external hard drive have enough space perform backup?
• have tried plugging in external hard drive other usb ports of system?
• have tried performing system backup while in safe mode?

we recommend start pc in safe mode , perform backup process. kindly follow these steps:

1. press the windows key launch start menu.
2. select settings.
3. select update & security.
4. select recovery.
5. under advanced startup, select restart now.
6. after pc restarts the choose option screen, select troubleshoot > advanced options > startup settings > restart.
7. after pc restarts, you'll see list of options. select 5 or f5 for safe mode networking.
