Switching from AMD to Intel, do I need a fresh copy of Windows after - Microsoft Community

i have been contemplating changing amd cpu , motherboard intel. have seen few discussions people have said drivers not same , need possibly download windows again, although bought computer through pc laptops , not have original install disk (i assume have one, , used key purchased digitally). when make switch necessary steps have go through copy of windows back?

also, when bought it, version windows 8.1, , have long since upgraded windows 10, still able download windows 10 again?

if computer came preinstalled windows 8.1 took advantage of windows 10 free upgrade, cannot transfer license.

if purchased full retail windows 10 license, yes, can transfer new computer.

switching cpu , motherboard should not problem. connect hard disk , boot windows 10 reconfigure itself.

Windows / Windows 10 / Install, upgrade, & activate / PC
