Can't Repair Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable - Microsoft Community

i've downloaded , installed civilization vi, game won't launch. internet searches have suggested problem microsoft visual c++ 2015.

to try fix it, used installer's 'repair option', returned error, saying 'setup failed'.
