BSOD after windows vista to windows 7 upgrade - Microsoft Community

i running windows vista 64 bit home premium ed on dell inspiron 1545 laptop, core2duo 2ghz, 4 gigs ram, ,  i upgraded windows 7 64 bit home premium last week, iso microsoft website.

checked md sum , fine. actual upgrade install went fine also. had few programs had problems reinstalled them. 

since then, had 219 updates install, , failed on of them until managed install them all. through all, took 4 days, , @ least 100 bsod crashes i'd guess. 

it crash trying install update every on 4 days. 

now seems everytime try update driver, or install new software, crashes, last 2 times involved audio driver update (idt 92hd71b) , f.lux software (which had installed on vista)

i can't @ minidump file though have access folder full control. says don't have access.

is there file can upload or can me figure out what's going on here? 

is normal have level of failures experiencing? 

i need urgently, any.

btw. common cause of error ox0000003b 

i did not know windows had ""emergency repair process".  hope microsoft engaged "expert" tell that.

if system dell makes oem system came windows preinstalled.

tell dell service tag number (on sticker or in battery compartment).

tell how , downloaded windows 7 iso used upgrade.

have installed windows 7 service pack 1?

it extremely unlikely windows 7 installation iso media going include drivers going work on dell system (or other system).  ones may have been on vista system might not work either need things dell www site.

after install or upgrade need right drivers match hardware manufacturers www site.

create manual system restore point before making adjustments if things worse can undo changes.

from dell support site enter service tag number or let detect system, go driver update section , let scan system , install driver updates recommends example:

when system date, restart , see how things look.

even if clean install of windows 7 still need visit dell site drivers need.
