hi.
my enquiry relates possibility of replacing windows 10 pro (64 bit) windows 10 home (64 bit).
i have laptop running windows 10 pro. bought laptop (pre-owned) 6 months ago. has started displaying dialogue box stating “your windows licence expire soon. need activate windows in settings”. activation page states “windows activated using organisation’s activation service”.
i therefore assuming os on laptop is- or has been- activated via organisations network licence key, , laptop no longer has access network cannot renew licence. being case, will- unfortunately- need purchase new os. see no other way around it!
can replace current pro version home version (to purchased via retail) prior expiry/sudden death of current pro version? if so, how do , effectively?
if can not or not replace pro version before becomes inoperable, can install windows 10 home after demise of pro version? if so, how do , effectively?
you have noted not tech savvy...my understanding of tech jargon , systems basic in extreme, relatively simple advice appreciated.
you luck then, means, system licensed windows 10 pro.
