the latest update, namely january 10, 2017—kb3213986 (os build 14393.693) was applied desktop pc.

when use ver command @ command prompt c:\windows\system32> the screen reports version of operating system microsoft windows  [version 10.0.14393] (command prompt run administrator)

my question is:

is there procedure can use or command @ prompt can use view build specification for system have upgraded to? (in format 14393.***)

this merely curiosity on part but if can explain in concise terms difference between os version , os build appreciate it.
