i have dell inspiron 3542 running windows7 sp1
everything working well, --
one day, turned laptop on , had no wireless connectivity
i plugged in ethernet cable, , there still no internet connectivity.
my desktop works on both lan , wireless settings
my phone works on wireless
so -- there 2 problems, lan , wireless.
here both results, let's take lan first.
i'm using desktop diagnose this, laptop not connect web or homegroup
help, please

router suspect here, have updated firmware possible
solution? and update wifi drivers on computers. how far
positioned router? there obstructions in way?
try updating driver , clearing network logon.
control panel - network - write down make , model of wifi - double click
on - driver's tab - write down version - click update driver (may not do
ms far behind certifying drivers). right click on wifi
device , uninstall - reboot - refresh driver stack.
manually @ manufacturer's sites drivers - , device maker's sites.

lose connection when doing , have redo logon.
control panel - network & sharing center - on left side click manage
wireless networks - right click networks - remove networks -
reboot. start - connect to - logon on network.
