Same problem with Windows 10 creators update failing to install - Microsoft Community

my 64 bit acer computer has windows 10 pro version 1607. when using windows updater upgrade version 1703, computer crashes @ 75% installation. after rebooting, installation continues crashes again @ 87% installation. reboot time reverts version 1607 error message stating windows failed update.

all drivers date. 

this same problem occurred when upgrading computer windows 8 10 long time ago.

it looks microsoft never identified or fixed problem then, recurring now. suspect is hardware issue video card because fan loud , continuous during crashes.

windows update failure may due lousy internet connection or previous update hasn't been installed.
