HDMI port stopped working - Microsoft Community

i have windows 7 professional  64 bit on laptop. hdmi port stopped sending signal 1 morning when turned laptop on,

and resolution on computer out of wack. went system restore point , went normal. restarted again , resolution went out , hdmi port stopped working again. restore not fix fix? have talked hp(which have hp probook 4540s laptop) , want charge support , believe sent driver messed things up.
