Server Error: 0x800CCC90 - Microsoft Community

for last week windows live mail account doesn't work right. 1 time work, won't. won't. nothing has changed. can still email on iphone , ipad. husband called comcast told him microsoft's fault. microsoft tells him it's comcast's fault. error message get:

unable send or receive messages comcast (railbird61) account. email server returned error.

hope can put issue bed.

that bogus message! server cannot respond if 'cannot connect' it.

the message coming avast's mail shield, wants handle connection instead of allowing windows live mail it. disable mail shield , restart computer. don't need mail scanning - outgoing mail - , avast keep safe anyway real-time file system protection.

that mail server's ipv6 address. many people have had problems comcast's ipv6 configuration, , 1 way test whether have type of problem disable ipv6 in router's settings. how go depends on router have, documentation. if leads no improvement in net connectivity, can reverse changes made.
