Hotmail login - Microsoft Community

while using hotmail account, quit working , wanted login password. did not accept current password, , multiple attempts reset , recover password unsuccessful. see online resetting imap, first step deactivate old account. isn't possible because can't log onto account. have been hacked or hijacked??  any thoughts??

there several reasons why you're having log-in problems in windows live mail. ask questions know best possible resolution offer:

• when did issue start?
  
• did receive error messages when logging in account?
• did make changes on pc before issue started?
• have tried using different browser , check if issue persists?
• have tried clearing browsers cache , cookies?
