Hyper-V Black screen - Dell XPS 9560 (2017 Model) - Microsoft Community

hi,

am trying install windows 7 using windows 10 pro hyper-v.

i have both 32bit , 64bit of windows 7 pro. configuration vm:

8192mb ram (this adjusted 2048mb)

40 gig hdd

1 vcpu

anyway after starting vm black screen. know issue monitor resolution, monitor configured resolution 4k.

when set resolution 800x600 , restart vm windows 7 installation in small screen within vm window. installation not complete later on in installation screen goes black again.

so know problem is,... dont know how resolve it... think spent on 2k laptop use multiple vm's , getting issues... oh irony..

laptop spec:

cpu intel i7

32 gig ram

1tb ssd

4k screen
