the root of problem none of (x86) programs launch. there no error message codes issued, receive following message.
windows cannot find c:\program files (x86)\beyond compare 3\bcompare.exe . make sure typed name correctly , try again.

o365 windows office software,an add-on win 7 or win os...either way,regedit not the
place fix/repair any/all service add-ons..youre best bet,1st edit windows components,.net must
be enabled, next edit user account, one must administrator install software, plus turn off parental
software.as install,download,or r.click run icon,set run in administrator setting.plus
try link.
also,in regedit editing,the normal way l.click on text,go edit/modify
set to 1 from 0 or add new values,% isn't default set..actually,microsoft has said
"never edit registry"
