hi,

not sure whats happened have been using windows 10 on year no issues.

recently noticed microsft apps feature had dropped off start button , cortana stopped working , had lost edge.

i ran  /scanhealth /restorehealth , sfc /scannow , have of features , running.

edge still missing , older version of explorer has been installed.

when click start button no apps feature "most used" apps in alphabetical order being displayed.

to fix issue regarding cortana , microsoft edge, suggest try following steps:

method 1: run app troubleshooter.

method 2: use powershell.

  • press windows +s, type powershell.
  • right-click powershell, , click run administrator.
  • if user account control dialog box appears, confirm action displays want, , click continue.
  • copy , paste or type command get-appxpackage -allusers | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register “$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml , hit enter.
  • reboot computer take effect changes.

so did above , got edge back. cortana worked not apps loaded.

new issue. yesterday pc tried fix errors during reboot said

"the user profile service failed sign in. user profile cannot loaded".

pc start wont sign in dont have access anything.

2. remove microsoft account.

3. restart computer.

4. sign in using microsoft account.
