Connecting 2 Laptops - Microsoft Community


i have toshiba laptop running windows 7. screen permanently damaged. 2/3 black , 1/3 white. have new laptop running windows 10 , wish transfer files old new. have no way of seeing old laptop doing, wish how use screen of new laptop. kind me, mere male aussie.

i appreciate whatever may forthcoming.

there websites describe how cannibalize laptop make use of screen ... don't want new laptop.

there other websites give various methods of extending computer's display onto laptop screen ... in order that, need able execute various commands on old laptop.  if that, wouldn't need second screen in first place.
