Activate Windows 10 but no response - Microsoft Community

i updated windows 10 after had error update 0x8024002e. (originally, used licensed windows 8 , had free update windows 10). looked in forum , found solution. done. update error problem solved. updates had been installed successfully. 

after ran few hours, says "activate windows, go setting activate windows" on right bottom screen. click , shows running dots nothing happens. 

my windows 10 in home single language edition.

please help. lot.

windows 8.0, windows 8.1 or windows 10 came preinstalled on computer, how find product key?

press windows key + x

click command prompt (admin)

enter following command:

wmic path softwarelicensingservice oa3xoriginalproductkey

hit enter

the product key revealed, copy product key enter it

click start > settings > update & security > activation > change product key enter new product key click next to activate

if unable activate windows 10 after above , have correct edition installed, please attempt phone activation:

activate windows 10 license via microsoft chat support
