Is Windows Search Indexing for Windows 10 More Enterprise Friendly by - Microsoft Community

in prior versions of windows (7&xp), search feature indexed files until filled hard drives.  result feature turned off.  wondering, have patches addressed issue since those versions of windows?  if not, have defaults indexing files on windows 10 changed allow feature turned on without fear of consuming excessive resources?

essentially trying make sure search service not turned off result of problem may have been present years ago, no longer is.

i have read through threads , have not quite been able locate differences advice familiar matter appreciated.
