my dell pc running windows 10 has stopped booting. goes recovery environment after attempting boot. have tried startup repair , system restore without success. cannot boot safe mode. after starting command prompt, found drive windows on d: , second drive c: - drive letters have swapped.

i have run chkdsk with /r /x. did find load of bad sectors on windows drive, said had corrected them.
i have tried bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot. both completed without , further comments.
when running bootrec /scanos it completes, not find windows installations. same bootrec /rebuildbcd.
i have tried changing drive letters diskpart. works fine , drive letters correct until pc rebooted. reverts c: , d: swapped.
i have tried changing drive letters regedit , regedt32, still cannot boot windows.
i did not want reset pc, seems last hope. @ loss else can try. suggestions great.
