i have vista on hp pavilion hdx 21 inch laptop. purchased 2008

it expensive item. top of range.

i told throw away , purchase new. not go down me, works fine except details work on later versions of microsoft.

can update 7 etc.

it depends on hardware requirements of later operating systems , also whether computer/laptop manufacturer supports , supplies drivers later operating systems whether possible or feasible upgrade or not.

there no free upgrade vista 7, 8.1 or 10.

follow these steps before buy windows 7.

microsoft no longer sells 7; try amazon.com.

go computer / laptop manufacturer's website , see if windows 7 drivers available make , model computer / laptop.

if not available, windows 7 not work correctly you.
