Shrink Partition Access Denied-both cmd and diskmanager - Microsoft Community

vista no more supported , still have old buggy vista standing around in house, hope shrink d partition , put opensuse on it. says 99gb available , let me shrink in disk partition manager tool thing 56000 , tried 45000 until gives me there access denied error. launched cmd.exe admin , tried shrink 40000. again recieved access denied error. maybe known windows bug might have been fixed in patch after 2013 cant connect windows update reason either.

cmd says partition/volume,but fails "list disk"..in case,only 1 hd exist multiple partitions,this

being case cant edit disk,as in use.best bet,purchase slave hd,manipulate instead of c: drive.also,

most drive configurations should done in ms-dos,to that,download hd dos utility mfg,boot

pc utility...
