unable to disable password required on wake-up - Microsoft Community

hp laptop running on 8.1.

went through  expert suggestions no avail:

i trying disable pw on waking , have tried following

1                     on advanced power plan settings: checked “no” on require pw on wake-up

2                     on power option : click on link “change settings unavailable, check (dot) “don’t required pw setting

3                     on  pc settings:  select account, sign-in options, change “password  policy” omit pw on wake-up

also tried other variation our friends web, same old thing: sign in require after sleep. went norton see if 360 security plan precluding me omitting sign-in option.  norton guy system, no help.

any idea, community?
