here symptom:
- when searching folder given filename (made of numbers, in case, type .pdf, eg: "985634701.pdf"), search returns "no results found".
- this true whether search performed in search box in explorer, or on start menu (cortana box).
- if filename changed adding random string (e.g.; "test" or "x", in "985634701x.pdf"), within seconds file appear in search results.
- if filename changed original name, disappear results.
the indexing service running, , on automatic start. a-ok.
the drive has been re-indexed. files not found found ok. files added folder may or may not found in search. when not found, above renaming test effects described.
have tried moving folder desktop documents folder, no change in behavior noted.
it preferable not have rename files have them found search. prefer know causing aberrant behavior , fix it.
information problem , solution gratefully welcome.
