Windows 10 Not Showing Open Applications in Taskbar and Can't - Microsoft Community

hi all,

i performed recent windows 10 update, , since then, reason, appears of open applications not appearing in taskbar.  not able switch between open applications using alt-tab.

for example, 2-weeks ago using skype, when prompted if wanted use windows 10 version; agreed.  liked new ui, pinned taskbar.  unto 4-days ago when did last windows update, resided quite happily in taskbar , able switch using alt-tab.  can no longer this.

similarly, windows' picture viewer.  had number of pictures open in different windows, yet none of these viewable in taskbar or accessible via alt-tab.  can see these minimising other windows, yet when minimise window, seem have 'lost' window / application.

strangely, outlook, excel, word, browsers etc. showing , working fine, right now, appears skype , picture viewer i'm aware of.  have changed colour of taskbar in case clashing etc., did nothing.

miraculously, after rebooting number of times, it's working again.  how strange.  wonder if had skype windows 10.  started happening around time attempted pin taskbar.
