Windows 10 Activation Code help? - Microsoft Community

so wouldn't have idea start on here looking resolution, therefore turn asking question.

today put in new processor , motherboard desktop pc windows 10 operating system.

it seemed going until had re-activate windows 10. 
however, reason product code not working.

the reason can think because changed these 2 components before updated windows 10 latest update and, according windows 10, out of date code.

any know how overcome issue? got free upgrade don't have physical code did automatically...

i spoke support , have provide them evidence of purchase of new products, old product key :) 

have been signing in using microsoft account? if license may have been linked account.

in settings, update , recovery, activation see if have troubleshooting option. if have further options confirm have changed hardware , verify computer signed in previously.

although may work bear in mind if original windows license (7/8) oem technically cannot transfer new computer replacing motherboard represents.
