IEEE 1394 OHCI Drivers NOT included on HP (DV6-2155dx laptop) - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have checked ms , numerous other forums , suggest rolling 1394 legacy driver use firewire devices because *should* included on windows 7. however, driver not included reason. hp no help (contacted , searched drivers on website) , cannot accept $2,000 camera brick (there no other means connect in order edit) because of simple driver can't find anywhere.

i did fresh install yesterday (was using windows 10) , driver missing. tried resolve using recommendation windows 8/8.1 @ link below, not install (tried x64 first, x86....just in case). drivers not show in device manager after reboot, etc. receive following error when trying install:

"the inf file selected not support method of installation"

i appreciate numerous suggestions rollback driver; have yet encounter addresses when driver isn't there in first place. not sure why be, nonetheless, is.

• can send screenshot of device manager? may use snipping tool, send screen capture. learn how, click here.
• have tried scan hardware changes device manager? if not, recommend it.
