I want to do a factory reset on my computer, but last time I did that, - Microsoft Community

i have installed programs outside of "..\programs files (x82)" , "..\program files" , last time did factory reset, files weren't deleted. there way factory reset delete those? got windows 10 free upgrade 7, don't have can use reinstall windows if wipe drive--that is, unless there's way it. i'm assuming that, since install free download, don't have key or anything; thus, unable reinstall windows if wipe drive.

any appreciated.

i'm putting under "download, install, & activate," though unsure whether correct board. post have match 3 of those? one? anywho, in advance.

when use reset, should choose option "remove files , clean drive"

reset offers 2 types of clean installs:

just remove files - this option quicker , recommended if want fresh start , plan keep computer.

remove files , clean drive - if plan giveaway or resell computer, option ensures computer cleaned properly. takes bit longer, recommended if plan no longer use computer.
