Corrupt track 1 metadata when ripping using Windows Media Player - Microsoft Community

sooo...... have ripped several hundred cd's , metadata artist, album, title, etc on first tracks are missing.   not actually missing, incorrect.  "unknown artist", "unknown album", etc.  every other track rips correctly, track 1 giving me problems.  correctly give song title file name, other times track 01.wav.  ripping them as 16 bit, 44k, lossless .wav files.

the windows media player seems able organize of first tracks correctly, missing metadata giving me problems with other applications.

i have seen autoplay can issue , not have on when rip cd.  have seen recommendations delete track 1 , re-rip, in honesty, close impossible as there 2500 albums.

i have tried metadata programs suppose update song information not accurate when try them on small sample size.   not close in fact.  none of cd's bootlegs, original redbook audio discs purchased store.  have deleted windows media player database , started on update album information doesn't change metadata.

i using windows 8.1, ripped using windows 7 well.   have more cd's rip , want solve problem before go further.  hope there way update metadata isn't manual.
