Windows installer not installed correctly - Microsoft Community

hello, 

2 days ago tried installing game on computer , got "the windows installer service not accessed. can occur if windows installer not correctly installed. contact support personnel assistance"

i didn't understand why happening since i've had computer 2 years , haven't seen pop when installing something. tried installing other programs see if problem game. same thing happened.

i searched on google , downloaded installer (not microsoft) managed install game after that. 

today tried installing else , same problem appeared. don't know do. i've looked @ other post this. tried running "net start msiserver" nothing appears. 

please me

unregister windows installer, , reregister windows installer. this, follow these steps:

1. press windows key + r

2. in "open" box, type msiexec /unreg, , press enter.

3. press windows key + r

4. in "open" box, type msiexec /regserver, , press enter.



Windows / Windows 10 / Install, upgrade, & activate / PC
