Win 10 Anniversary Update did not work (0x8024200D) - Microsoft Community

update downloaded , wanted run overnight said now. lots of twirling circles , % counts. can't remember last % number saw, on 50% maybe low 60's. said rolling i'm still on 1511.

looking in windows system event log find this: "installation failure: windows failed install following update error 0x8024200d: feature update windows 10, version 1607." no other odd behaviours or errors i'm wondering about.

would nice know reason error code can fix before retrying ... heck ... why not retry , see if works time? problem is, can't figure out how try again. should download new package in case there flaw in download. maybe that's step 2 if retrying have fails again in same way.

i not 3rd party driver update programs. have been big part of problem.

here's how feel updating drivers. have found true. if update driver, go manufacture driver , not 3rd party driver program. here's htg says. read imho!
