Windows network paths not found - Microsoft Community

i running windows 7 on laptop.  i replaced old printer epson wf-3620 printer.  everything loaded properly, have latest printer drivers printer loaded & printer seems working fine printing, copying & scanning.  here concern:  every time start computer, message pops in lower right corner stating "could not reconnect network drives".  when open 'my computer', see, under heading of network location, 2 icons, each large red "x" through them.  the icons labeled as:          "usbstorage (\\epson24df58)      memorycard (\\epson24df58)

                (y:)                                                     (z:)

when double click on first mentioned one, message pops up: "an error occured while reconnecting y: \\epson24df58\usgstorage   microsoft windows network:  the network path not found.   connection has not been restored"

i have no idea means appreciate explaining me.  is can corrected?  will cause type of malfunction printer?  i have never had occur other printer have had.  this same thing happened on wife's computer after loading printer on it.  she running windows 8.

old printer installation program must have created shares. rid of messages, open computer, right-click missing share, left-click "disconnect". that's all!
