suddenly there watermark ' windows 8.1 pro build 9600 ' , ask me activate windows.  when went activate windows online shows windows can't activate right now.  try activating windows later.  if doesn't work contact system administrator.   error code 0xc004f074.

that error code indicates enterprise installed on machine. enterprise volume licensing , companies not individuals.

you might see error if entered product key enterprise edition of windows activate windows 10 home or windows 10 pro. try entering product key matches edition of windows on device. or, might see error if you're trying activate work pc aren't connected workplace's network. if you're connected work network , still see error, might need change network settings. contact organization's support person more info.  if organization doesn't have support person, might need enter product key again: select start  button, select settings  > update & security  > activation . select change product key, , type 25-character product key.  you might asked admin password or confirm choice.

1. step 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 below or able do.

2. press windows + r open rusluisn dialog, type slui.exe 4, press enter, , go step 7 below.

3. open elevated command prompt, type slui.exe 4, press enter, , go step 7 below.

4. open power users tasks menu, click/tap on system, , go step 5a below.

5. open control panel (icons view), , click/tap on system icon.

a) click/tap on activate windows @ bottom right corner under windows activation, , go step 7 below. (see screenshot below)

6. open pc settings, click/tap on activate windows on left side.
