bought dell manufactured laptop online. came loaded windows 10. under update & security tab gives me error 0xc004f012 when try activate windows. not have product key came pre- installed. can pls?
windows 10 came preinstalled on computer, how find product key?
press windows key + x
click command prompt (admin)
enter following command:
wmic path softwarelicensingservice oa3xoriginalproductkey
hit enter
the product key revealed, copy product key enter it
click start > settings > update & security > activation > change product key enter new product key click next to activate
if unable activate windows 10 after above , have correct edition installed, please attempt phone activation:
Windows / Windows 10 / Install, upgrade, & activate / PC
