Windows 7 Pro OEM 64bit product key - Microsoft Community

i purchased dvd of win7 pro oem put on new computer have built. ordered amazon , said microsoft , not third party. when opened package , looked @ coa label had looked gray sticker on top of product key microsoft printed on it. attempting remove sticker see prod. key destroyed printing underneath. amazon sending me replacement @ no charge. if item shows , has same obscured product key supposed product key can install windows?

a second , more rhetorical question is, why microsoft make harder legal copy of windows illegal one?

many users complaining issue windows 10 oem licenses.

the unfortunate reality is, microsoft not responsible coa stickers, outsourced third party. responsibility of reseller when product key coa damaged.

what suggest is, don't use method used initial package.

if can, record removable of protective seal using video camera.

so, if gets damaged again, have documented evidence can submit microsoft support, might provide replacement key.
