Black screen on startup - Microsoft Community
have acer aspire 5738pzg.. windows 7 ultimate (not genuine)( think that's problem here).. !! when press power button, there's sound of hdd (maybe it's hdd , not sure) ..only sound few secs.. no dot on screen, not cursor, not acer logo (which used come during startup).. not boot menu.. tried pressing f2 nd f8 many times.. didn't work.. tried restarting laptop (holding power button few secs u).. didn't work... inserted recovery dvds came along laptop.. again tried f2s nd f8s, still nothing... tried plug hdmi cable android smart tv, still nothing on tv...it says "no input (something that)"... can me ??

hi,
use genuine recovery dvds came laptop to reinstall correct edition of windows on acer.
change boot oder in bios make cd/dvd drive first in boot order > boot first disk and reinstall.
if can't that, appear hardware problem.
tip: if when first turn on acer, acer splash screen logo not appear, indicates problem hardware failure , need computer tech..
