nothing update! internet explorer won't update, windows updater won't update, installed microsoft essentials wont update either gives me error code says
x virus , spyware definitions couldn't updated
app couldn't check virus , spyware definition updates. check internet or network connection , try again.

i installed mozilla firefox no issues because internet explorer outdated , wouldn't update. brand new never did banking or on here yet because want spyware , virus protection. know connected internet can tell me going on??
ps. firewall turned on.
pps. if there way free version of newer model of windows please feel free share information too.
i suggest run microsoft genuine advantage diagnostics tool in normal mode (not safe mode) , copy , paste results in reply further analysis:

run tool , when completes click copy button, open text file word or notepad , select edit, paste. can paste directly reply here. open reply, right click , select paste.
