'Yahoo settings out of date' - Microsoft Community

i know there similar posts relating problem different.

i have 'windows live mail 2012' mail client synced new windows 10 mail account. until i  had yahoo mail account also  synced windows account. after reports of yahoo accounts (including mine) being hacked decided to delete yahoo account completely. 

i deleted yahoo mail account.

my problem whenever sends email windows account  get that mail windows account but it wants send copy deleted yahoo account.

the sender gets following :

mail delivery failed : returned sender

the following addresses failed:


  *** email address removed privacy ***
    host mx-eu.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [188.125.69.79]
    smtp error remote mail server after end of data:
    554 delivery error: user doesn't have yahoo.co.uk account (*** email address removed privacy ***) [-5] - mta1107.mail.ir2.yahoo.com

the above test email sent myself . *** email address removed privacy *** yahoo address.

so seems somewhere in system yahoo still lurking. how rid of it.

i hope can understand seemingly rambling nature of above.

have checked if yahoo account still listed on windows 10 mail?

 

to remove account, follow these steps:

1. click windows icon select mail.
2. right click email account want remove , select account settings.
3 click delete account.

 

keep posted.
