Does Windows Update dereference a null pointer? (Windows - Microsoft Community

in bsd unix, if pass null pointer printf's %s formatter, outputs string "(null)" instead of aborting.  don't know why.

does windows same thing?

does windows update windows display "(null)" when windows update should have crashed?

i disabled windows update have not rebooted yet.  not retry before applying 2 patches.  meanwhile, looks windows update wanted crash @ point.
