Windows boot blocking - Microsoft Community

hi,
after reinstalling windows 8.1 on laptop, reset bios default settings. since system not boot anymore. have message: «no bootable device found. hit key» (surely bios isn't adjusted anymore). troubleshoot or reinstallation of windows installation dvd fix issue?

reinstallation using windows dvd create new boot record on system.

if encounter issues while reinstalling, check bios settings if boot device or hard drive set correct mode. if having issues while in uefi mode, may try switch legacy mode.

keep updated results.
