win 10 and win 7 operating system's - Microsoft Community

hello,

when bought laptop 4 years ago came win 7 pre-installed, no os disc had option restore factory settings if catastrophic went wrong.

in 2015? took opportunity microsoft gave me upgrade win 10. not have os disc win 7 or win 10 if computer had have hard drive wiped. when upgraded win 10 restore factory settings no longer option on laptop.

jackdoor. 

if activated free upgrade has no key!  free upgrade uses permanent digital license windows 10 on pc , not need ever pay license again.  can associate microsoft account digital license signing in it, check settings>update , security>activation confirm linked ms account.  if ever change motherboard follow reactivating windows 10 after hardware change

did locate coa sticker windows 7 see if product key readable?  if write down , save because long it's readable able clean reinstall windows 7 , never need buy key wouldn't anyway since windows 7 phasing out , getting old , difficult reinstall already.
