“An exception break point exception has been reached - Microsoft Community

when shut down computer teh following error message:

“an exception break point exception has been reached (0x80000003) occurred in application @ location 0x74a8ec79”

i'm on windows 7 home premium  sp164-bit

i have no idea program causing this, ubt of other programs (esp. excel , web programs) acting funny , in case of excel, taking waaaay long open/save/close. facebook (in particular) either can't type in im, or won't show in posts, etc...i don't recall downloading new programs , antivirus program didn't find issues.

how fix this?

with regard query, let troubleshoot error message using minimal set of drivers , startup programs.

this eliminates software conflicts occur when install program or update or when run program in windows.

after performing clean boot, suggest run system file checker. follow steps below:

1. press windows + x keys.
2. click on command prompt (admin).
3. copy , paste following command:
   sfc /scannow
4. hit enter to execute command. may take few minutes finish. if find verification 100% complete, click x to close command prompt.
5. reboot pc changes take effect.
