Making a hard drive usable - Microsoft Community

i have new hard drive i'd use ups windows 10 doesn't recognize drive usable  viable drive backups. drive seen computer not usable ups. suggests?

see file history backup feature to check steps

back files on drive , try right clicking disk management delete drive partitions, create new , format following create , format hard disk partition - windows help  

then try adding file history backup, saving a windows 10 image backup  there.
