Cortana Doesn't work, sometimes it does, all my Apps say new so I - Microsoft Community

cortana went away months, came couple days, quit working again.  all apps new underneath in green have click on each 1 of them work again- i'm talking every app , sub-app in list.  that comes , goes well.  the store doesn't update apps unless turn windows firewall on.  then turn off again because i'm not going entrust security of computer windows defender , windows firewall when windows 10 has had near constant updates since came out.  your program and/or programmers suck.  i'm thinking of selling microsoft stock , never buying computer runs on windows.

to troubleshoot issues cortana , other apps, suggest apply troubleshooting steps on link.

if troubleshooting steps on link didn't work, use powershell command re-register cortana.

1. press windows key , search windows powershell.
2. right-click on windows powershell and select run as administrator.
3. copy , paste following command:
   get-appxpackage -allusers | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register "$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml"}
4. hit enter to execute command.
5. reboot pc changes take effect.
